What Is Health Coaching?

According to the Primal Health Coach Institute: A Primal Health Coach, like all well-trained health coaches, is a wellness expert who educates, motivates and guides clients toward lifestyle and behavior choices that support optimal well-being. But Primal Health Coaches go a step further. They collaborate with clients to create lives of maximum vitality using nutrition and fitness strategies based on scientifically validated ancestral health principles. The primal approach brings wellness back to the basics—eating, moving, living, and thriving as our bodies were designed to.

So, what exactly does that mean? I follow an integrative approach to overall health, and I teach my clients how to do the same. There are four key areas that work together to help you live your best life: nutrition, fitness, sleep, and toxins. In order to live awesome, you need to address all four areas.

Through education, support, accountability, and guidance, I will lead you to a lifestyle that supports optimal health and well-being by creating individualized, adaptable, holistic mind-body health plans.

PRIMAL NUTRITION

Learn how to read labels, navigate the grocery store, and create delicious meals based on REAL ingredients. Develop a healthy relationship with food and understand how to achieve optimal energy, nutrients, vitamins and minerals through a simple, real-food lifestyle.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

Be able to squat, reach, pull, and lift with ease by focusing your fitness routine on everyday movements. Using body weight as resistance, we will focus on building overall strength and mobility, along with developing cardiorespiratory endurance through movement.

LIFESTYLE MANAGEMENT

Without adequate sleep, all other efforts to improve your health will be ineffective. Your car will eventually run out of gas, and if you don’t stop to refill the tank, it’ll be stuck in the same place forever. Your body works in a similar way – without time to rest and recover, eventually your tank will be empty. There are many factors that can affect your quality of sleep; addressing them will be top priority.
